Past Works and Projects
In this section of my website, you will see my Look Development project to showcase my skills in texturing, lighting, shading and rendering. All work was made, completed, and rendered through Autodesk Maya 2018. To do this I had to effectively use UVing techniques to UV and separate this asset in order to create a successful realistic texture. This process is also demonstrated on this page and then rendered through Arnold render.
To create my shaders and textures for the bookcase asset I had to accurately UV each asset in order to move forward with the look development process. As seen from this image is my 3D model pre-textured. Additionally, to this, I had to create partitions throughout the geometry to create an effective UV. Once the geometry was accurate on reflection, I noticed that I had beveled and smoothed a lot of the 3D asset, thus meaning that the asset had a higher poly count and would be more complicated to UV without the separation of the 3D asset’s parts. I used the checkboard background throughout to make sure my UV’s were working effectively.
